Spring Loaded Safety Valve Operation Explained:
Spring Loaded Safety Valve is a safety instrument that automatically discharges pressure whenever the pressure level becomes greater than the specified set pressure to prevent any damage to equipment due to overpressure. Under normal circumstances, the disc is kept firmly on the seat by the spring, ensuring a good seal.
But the valve opens instantly to release extra pressure when the pressure rises above the set pressure and the spring contracts. The spring instantly shuts the valve again, making the seal tight once the pressure decreases to a safe level.
