Electric Actuated Plug Valve

Electric actuated plug valves use a motor-driven quarter-turn plug to open, close or divert flow. Lubricated, sleeved and eccentric configurations serve chemical processing, refining and other industrial pipeline applications.

Automated pipeline isolation requires dependable valve operation and compatibility with demanding process conditions. Valves Only Canada supplies electric actuated plug valves in Canada for industrial pipelines, chemical processing systems, water treatment facilities, and other applications requiring reliable flow isolation. These valves combine a plug valve with an electric actuator that rotates the plug to open, close, or control the flow passage, depending on the valve design. Selection depends on pressure, temperature, process media, plug and body materials, sealing arrangement, actuator torque, and electrical control requirements.

Features

  • Electric motor-driven actuator for automated valve operation.
  • Quarter-turn operation for efficient opening and closing.
  • Plug design suited to pipeline isolation and selected flow control applications.
  • Lubricated or non-lubricated configurations, depending on valve design.
  • Sleeved or metal-seated options for different process conditions.
  • Available in cylindrical or tapered plug configurations, depending on the model.
  • Remote operation and integration with compatible PLC and DCS systems.
  • Different body and plug materials for media compatibility.
  • Flanged, threaded, or other end connections, depending on valve design.
  • Suitable for compatible liquids, gases, and industrial process media.

Standards and Testing

Electric actuated plug valves are designed, inspected, and tested according to applicable valve construction, pressure rating, materials, and project requirements. ASME B16.34 addresses relevant valve design and pressure-temperature requirements, while ASME B16.5 covers applicable flanged connections. API 598 may apply to inspection and pressure testing where specified for the valve design.
